Schneider Home Power Mount for Apple HomeView
The Schneider Home Power Mount holds Apple HomeView (Wall Mounted) on the wall and keeps it powered. If you buy the Wall Mounted model, you need one. Apple says it “requires a mount and power solution to operate”, and it comes with no mount, no USB-C cable and no power adapter. The tabletop Apple HomeView does not use it.
Schneider Electric makes the mount and Apple sells it. All three versions connect to the screen over USB-C and hold it in place with magnets. Apple lists Apple HomeView (Wall Mounted) as the only compatible model.
The three versions
| Version | UK price | Installation | What it supplies |
|---|---|---|---|
| USB-C Wall Connector | £54.95 | Do it yourself | Power |
| AC Wired | £69.95 | Qualified electrician recommended | Power |
| PoE Wired | £119.95 | Needs Power over Ethernet wiring | Power and a wired network connection |
USB-C Wall Connector. You fit this one yourself, with the screws and anchors in the box. Apple says it needs no electrician and no wall box. A 2-metre cable runs from the mount to a USB-C power adapter of at least 20W, which you buy separately. The mount supports 20W up to 60W.
AC Wired. This one connects to the mains wiring in the wall and sits flush, with no cable showing. It fits a new or existing single-gang wall box and delivers up to 30W. Apple recommends a qualified electrician, and says the mains wiring needs one.
PoE Wired. One Ethernet cable in the wall carries both power and a wired network connection, so HomeView does not depend on Wi-Fi. You need a Power over Ethernet network switch and an Ethernet run to the mount, which Apple says is common in new builds and major renovations. It delivers 20W.
When you can buy it in the UK
The USB-C Wall Connector and the AC Wired mount can be ordered from Apple now. Apple opened orders on 13 October 2026, and Schneider says both reach Apple Stores on Friday 13 November, the same day HomeView goes on sale. The store does not give a delivery date, and Apple warns that the mount may arrive separately from the HomeView.
The PoE Wired mount comes in early 2027. Apple has listed it at £119.95, but the store says “Check back later for availability”.
Which one to choose
The USB-C Wall Connector is the only one Apple calls self-install, and the cheapest. AC Wired hides the cable but needs an electrician. PoE Wired suits a house that already has Ethernet in the walls.
The mount only holds and powers the screen. For what HomeView does as a home hub, see the Apple HomeView page and the other home hubs.
