Does Google Nest Work with Apple Home?
In the UK, no. The Nest thermostats sold here — the Nest Learning Thermostat (3rd generation) and the Nest Thermostat E — do not support Matter or HomeKit, so they cannot be added to the Home app. Nest cameras and doorbells do not work in the Home app either.
Two Nest thermostats do work with Apple Home, through Matter: the Nest Thermostat (2020) and the Nest Learning Thermostat (4th generation). Both are North American models, built for forced-air heating and cooling, and neither is sold in the UK.

Google announced in April 2025 that it would no longer launch new Nest thermostats in Europe, and confirmed that the 4th generation will not come to the UK. There is no Nest thermostat for a UK boiler that works with Apple Home, and none is coming.
The first and second generation Learning Thermostats, including the European second generation, stopped working in the Nest and Google Home apps on 25 October 2025. They now work only from the dial.
Even the Matter models leave things out
On the 4th generation, Matter exposes the target temperature, the mode and off. You can use it in scenes, automations and with Siri. The room sensors do not appear in Apple Home: they stay in the Google Home app.
Cameras and doorbells
Nest cameras and doorbells do not work in the Home app. Matter added cameras in version 1.5 (November 2025), but as of June 2026 Google had not certified its own cameras for it, and Apple Home does not support Matter cameras.
The only route is a paid third-party bridge, such as the Starling Home Hub, which is not supported by Google or Apple.
